I recently received a picture from my aunt Dorothy Williams (nee Goodchild) who said it was my maternal great-grandmother called Sarah. I have only got back to my grandmother Jane Eleanor Chadaway (b1890) who married William Goodchild (b1890) but know nothing of her parents/sisters. On the Goodchild side my great-grandfather, also William Goodchild (b1865) and married Elizabeth Goodman (b1867), did have 7 children including Sarah Ann Goodchild born in 1888. I would like to find out if this photo of Sarah is my grandaunt or great-grandmother and my aunt may be a little confused. Cheers Bill

Re: Help with Chadaway/Goodchild problem

Hi Shera - After only 4 hours the mystery seems to be solved. The picture is most likely Sarah Ellen Chadaway who married Albert Chadaway in 1882. I will update my tree and let my aunt know that I have put names to faces. Cheers Bill

Re: Help with Chadaway/Goodchild problem

Hi Christy - have scanned my family tree and could not find any Annabella Goodchild. What sort of timescale are we looking at and what area of Birmingham did your mum go to school in? You never know as there are a lot of Goodchilds from the brum area.
Cheers
Bill
