At long last I visited my uncles grave private Leslie jones RMC at Catania cemetery scicily last year I was given his name leslie as my middle name
It was very moving to find his grave
The cemetery was immaculate
Well cared for with help from the volunteers I found his place of rest
He was killed 1943 in his ambulance bringing injured back
I have a few papers and a letter from his commanding officer to his mother stating he didn't suffer and died 3 days after initially being wounded
Glad I went and found him
