Can anyone please revitalise this photograph????

Mayfield

Burbury Brummie
This is a photograph of my dad taken during the war in France. Typical, he is the one holding the flaggon of ale in the front. He never changed......................

Can anyone please revitalise this photograph for me? Mabz

It amazes me how they get things like the accordion there - did the man lug it all the way from Britain, or was it locally acquired I wonder?

I wonder if it was taken perhaps in the Normandy region. The flagon may have contained cider for which that area is famous and was commonly brewed on farms. The Artillery always had lorries to pull the guns. I dare say lots of strange articles ended up being carried.

I always really enjoy these photo' improvement and 'speculation' posts ... something to get one's teeth into!

Thanks Lloyd/Aidan it looks much better now................... Perhaps the guy packed his accordian in his 'old kit bag' along with his troubles??????????????/
