I have quite a lot of information on the Butts family with connections in Ladywood, Smethwick, Harborne. Would be keen to contact anyone with same interests.

Does anyone recall Sid Butts drapers shop in Shakespeare Road, Ladywood from 1924 to 1970?

Yes I use the Old Ladywood site - it is very good. In fact, if you check the photographs for Shakespeare Road that is my grandmother standing on the step of my grandfather Sid Butts shop! -
 
Oh sorry Steve I should have checked but I am pleased as it made me look. What a great photo of the shop and your Grandmother with the clothes hanging around her!
