Burial of Dorothy Spaull or Hall ne: Norris

I am trying to find the grave of my great aunt (sounds funny - up until a few months ago I had no known family on my Dads side). She was born Dorothy Norris in Ireland, the family moved to India where my Great Uncle and Grandmother (Ruby Wilcox ne: Norris) were born, then back to Birmingham where a further Great Aunt was born (Minnie Wood ne: Norris).

I am fairly sure my Grandmother and Minnie moved away or abroad and at the moment we have lost track of them altogether for the moment, so concentrating on other family members we have found my Great Uncles family and gained a few cousins for my Dad (who was put in an orphanage at 4). We know where he is buried and where his mother is buried - both in Yardley cemetary, now I am interested to know where Dorothy is buried, I have checked Yardleys online info but there is nothing (but there wasnt for my great grandmother and she is there).

Dorothy was born around 1891 and I am fairly sure she spent her latter years in Birmingham. Any advice or info would be welcome.

Have you checked with the office at Yardley cemetery. If you have a death date they may take a look at the registers. It is always difficult to find a burial place. If they didn't have a family grave in a churchyard it would be one of the cemeteries. The only way is to trawl through the cemetery indexes at Central Library.:)

Hi Lisa,

Hope you're well, do you have Dorothys marriage details? This looks like a possibility: Dorothy May Norris to Cyril George Albert Hall, March 1925 Bham S.
There are 2 possible births: Richard W Hall (mmn Norris) June 1934 Bham 6d 319 & Donald Hall (mmn Norris) Sept 1934.
On the electoral register they only appear once in 1935: Cyril G A Hall & Dorothy May Hall, 12 Ridgacre Lane, Harborne Ward.

Hope this helps.

Macca.:)
