I am trying to find the burial details of Francis Joseph Holdcroft, who died between July - Sept 1922 at Droitwich. I would be very interested to know it there is a gravestone.

Unfortunatly I do not know which church or cemetary just a rough date.

Was he born and / or lived in Droitwich.
An old address may give an idea of the are for the church.
Have looked 2 already and he is not there.
Was he C of E or Catholic.

Will help where I can.

HOUSEHOLD
HOLDCROFT FRANCIS JOSEPH 1857 Kings Norton Worcestershire

Could this be him on the 1911 census, by the way the ONLY one with this name anywhere, and showing to be born in 1857.
Age in 1911 was 54

living in Kings Norton Birmingham:cool:

Let me know if any of this makes sense to your research.
Are we going in the right / wrong direction.

Many Thanks for the infomation to date that is helpful. Loking at the information I have he was C of E and lived 601 Bearwood Road, Smethwick in 1913. I do not have any other address nearer to his death. The General Record Office has his death registered at Drotwich, which to be fair may cover a wide number of church's and cemetaries. He may well have been buried in the Smethwick area as his last known addess was there. He was born in 1856 and his name is quite distictive. He ran several Chemist / Druggists shops around Birmingham. Hope this helps.

Well at least what you have told us about him running several chemists ties in with the info from the Kelly's directories.;)

Were there any other rellis this side of town?
could he have been visiting when he passed away?
OR
could it be another member of the family registered his death over here?
things to think on and I will search a little more for you.

Regards Derek
