Some interesting historic points about the area of Bromford including Bromford Mill/Forge (once owned by the Holtes, Jennens and Spooners), 4 rebuilds of Bromford Bridge (the first a wooden footbridge bridge dating to at least the 1300s), a narrow Bromford Lane, location of the Old Green Man/Lad in the Lane and the existance of two moated sites which later disappeared under Bromford Racecourse.
