The first picture is quite strange - the street lights are completely wrong!
Post #4 shows the correct type of lantern, and one is visible hanging from the first pole on the right - but, the picture has been 'doctored' and others drawn in on the poles of the type used in Colmore row, upright lanterns holding fluorescent tubes, as seen in this Phyllis Nicklin photo.
They are obviously drawn in, as their outline is sharp on all but the two closest columns- which would not happen in a night-time photograph!
