Re: death look up for bradnock please

Could this be her,Lyn?
Deaths Jun 1913
Jane Bradnack 73 Birmingham 6d 253

Re: death look up for bradnock please

I can't find her either. I thought of trying inputting Jane and no surname into Free BMD for Warwickshire but even doing a year and a half at a time it isn't loading.

Maybe try for mis-spellings? I looked for Braddock with no luck.

We'll find her.

Re: death look up for bradnock please

Lyn I know what you mean it happend in Michael's family. His great aunt Susan Partridge looked after her siblings after the death of her parents close together. She lived in Adam Sreet with them and lodgers. This was the poorest part of town. They have my deepest admiration..x

Re: death look up for bradnock please

hi wend...and they have my admiration too...i can now add cregoe st to my list..think that was deritend way.... how on earth folk coped with all this grief i cant imagine..i used to think how very hard they were in those days but thinking about it they had to be to get through it... x.

Re: death look up for bradnock please

Lyn Cregoe st is of Bath Row near the old accident hostpital.

Re: death look up for bradnock please

They did really have to be what we now call 'tuff/hard, even cold ' (Just lables of how we would see them now if not knowing ,or understanding)... back then.
My Granddad married his first wife in 1912 and by 1918 he ha lost his Father, three children, his wife and a much younger Brother. The're only the ones I know about, there may have been other sibblings, and family members who had also died in that timeline that I haven't researched yet.

By the way Lynn your family do seem to have used Bradnock/Bradnack/Bradneck, when spelling their name. This may have been due to others filling out forms for them and spelling the name how it sounded to them... this is very common when researching records, always look outside 'The Norm' ' as we would see it...

Re: death look up for bradnock please

The old back houses were knocked down in the 60s Lyn, Cregoe st is still there but nothing like it was . My mother was born there in 1920.
