Bradley [Bradders]

Wendy have you a photo of Norman?. I once had two rabbits that I named Norman and Freda after my aunt and uncle. Had them years and they died within a few weeks of one another. Jean.

Thanks Miriam he is quite a character and one of the cleverest dogs we have had and we have had a few in our time. Jean.

Caz I can't understand why the vet couldn't find a home for him sooner when his previous owner could no longer cope. Mind you she was 95 years of age and when in hospital just before she passed away all she was going on about was her Brad. We had planned to take him back to Cheltenham to visit her when she had settled down in the nursing home where she had a placed booked but it was not to be:(:(. Bye. Jean.

I bought my sons new cat a bed and guess who think's it's his?. Mind you he thinks he's the boss or alpha male as most men do. TTFN. Jean.

Hi G G Jean
Tim Partridge used to be our vet in Sutton Coldfield, unfortunatly our little Yorkie Gemma passed away and we lost contact (as we were working we didn't think it a good idea to have any more pets). I wondered where he and his wife moved to. His wife did a lot of work with the cats protection league.

Hi Taverness. Tim and Helen live in Tewksbury and we exchange e.mails. Helen does volountry work at a rescue centre for wildlife and Tim does some of their operations for them. The last was to repair a tawny owls leg. Helen's mom Jean has been a friend of mine for years and she still takes on unwanted animals. She had a little Yorkie cross a few weeks ago don't know if she has re-homed him yet. The other dog a Jack Russell was making his life a misery so Jean took him on and placed him in a foster home. The rescue centre has just come back to me. It's the Vale Tewksbury. Oh they keep ex battery chickens in their back garden. If you look at a thread under tramp you will see he was one of Jean's rescue dogs. TTFN.Jean.

A while back I put about Betty who used to walk Brad had passed away after being found in her house and no one had missed her. Well her friend Mary has been in touch again and wrote a very comforting letter and I will just put the end bit. "Betty showed me the previous photo's you sent of Brad and had them in her handbag always and often said how happy it made her knowing he had such a lovely home". Made me feel very good. TTFN. Jean.

jean i love the picture of bradders in the cat bed. typical. if youd bought it for him he wouldnt touch it. :)

that was lovely that you heard about brads former owner carrying the pics you sent in her purse. it must have given her great comfort.

Chris Betty passed away before those photo's arrived. These were ones I had sent prior and the thought of her being pleased that he had gone to a good home makes me feel less guilty. Shame we didn't have chance to spend a day with her this year as we planned. The cat loves her bed Chris. Jean.

Hello Jean.

What a lovely story about Betty and Bradders. Your gave her a lot of happiness knowing that her dog had gone into a good home and was loved.

The brownie points are adding up!:) Miriam.

Mirriam the lady who owned Brad was Dorothy [aged 94] who died two years ago [almost] and she was too poorly to realise what was going on before she passed away. Betty is the 84 year old lady who walked Brad but decided to let him go because of her age. In a way it is a good job as he would have had to be re-homed again. Jean.

ahh thats lovely jean. at least she wasnt put off by the doggy smell. she looks very comfy in there.

My neighbour was very upset today at what she found when visiting her husbands grave at Streetly Crem. She has a tiny yorkie called Rosie that Jeff her late husband adored. They bought a beautiful life like statue of her for his grave and some kind soul stole it. Her daughter Jean bought another one and put it by the pond that he loved in her garden. How can people be so heartless. Jean.

That is very sad Jean but also very common. I personally only ever put flowers on a grave. Some cemeteries especially Witton can look awful with plastic flowers windmills soft toys. They may look nice when first place but they soon look tatty. It seems to be a modern thing there are many benches covered in flowers etc I can't see the point in putting a bench in place and then covering it with things so it can't be used. I think putting the dog in your neighbour's own garden is a much better idea and it's a daily reminder.:)

Wendy I agree with your sentiments but I hated to see Joan that upset. Pete does her garden for her and last night placed the little statue where Joan couldn't reach right next to the pool.. Bye. Jean.

The latest one [two] of Brad with his coat cut but will let it grow now for the winter. Good with these dogs they don't molt but need cutting in the spring. Jean.

I was right by the fridge Chris and he would be a dustbin if I let him. Oh my sister in laws cat had to be put to sleep last week too so I think that adds up to nine I heard about. Jean.

Brad looks a 'bobby dazzler' with his shorn look - Bingo is getting along quite well, very slow but in no discomfort. Miriam.

He's like most men Miriam they know when to put on the charm:rolleyes::rolleyes:. Bingo is just enjoying old age and knows where he is well off. Bye. Jean.
