Re: Ann Bradley

Hi whiteheather, I have found family transcribed as Bradeley and living in Claines on FMP 1841 census, Claines is just up the road from Fernhill Heath and on the 1851 census it's stated Ann was born at Martin, which should have been noted as Martin Hussingtree again just up the road from Fernhill Heath. A lovely part of Worcestershire.

Re: Ann Bradley

Thanks for replying, that is the family that I am looking for as I have those children, somebody said his wife was Elizabeth Price but I cant find it anywhere so maybe your Elizabeth Perkes is the right one.

Re: Ann Bradley

Just a note about Claines - Claines is not a village it is a church parish and it used to be much bigger than it is today. In 1885 the parish of Claines was split into North and South Claines. South Claines then became part of Worcester City.
Therefore when the Bradley's were living at "Claines" on the 1841 and 1851 censuses it is possible they were living in what we now think of as Worcester City and not the much smaller parish that is now Claines.
I only know this because a family I was looking at lived in "Claines" on the censuses but their old addresses are definitely now in the City.

Re: Ann Bradley

thanks very much, good to know the info on Claines, although Ann was my gr. grandmother I didnt know much about her and the family. as I was born and live in Scotland
