Bott Frank Thomas

rowan

Born a Brummie
Frank Thomas Bott b. 1861 d. 1913. m. Selina Taylor 1881 d. 1896.

Frank is reputed to have owned or ran The Plough and Harrow in Aldridge.

Can someone please do a look up in the census for me to confirm this please.

I believe he married again after Selina died.

Also is the a photo of the pub taken around that time?

Many thanks.

Re: Frank Thomas Bott

There is a Frank Thomas Bott on the 1881, living in Brum with his parents. He is a clerk, writing.

There is a Frank T Bott on the 1901 living with his wife Louisa he is a brass bedstead maker.

Can't find one with a pub. Sorry.

Re: Frank Thomas Bott

In 1904 the plough & harrow was listed in Kellys as occupied by Charles Bassford, and in 1880 by Joseph Towers. But if he owned it,but didn't occupy it, then his name wouldn't appear.

Re: Frank Thomas Bott

Thank you both for your replies :)

Maybe it was his Father who ran or owned the pub. I think his name was J.Taylor Bott.

Someone in the family seems to be certain that a BOTT had this pub.
