Hi, the Boswells lived on Thimblemill Lane Aston. Fanny was my great grandmother who committed suicide on Christmas eve 1920. She had an older sister Louisa who predeceased her. Anyinfo about the family welcome.

According to Ancestry World War I pensions records Ernest Albert Cashmore married Fanny Boswell 6.6.1908 at St Clement's Church, Nechells. Address 34 Sycamore Rd, Erdington. Children listed as Nellie Cashmore B.28.12.12 in Erdington.
He was discharged as no longer fit for war service on 21.1.19 address on discharge is 34 Sycamore Road, Erdington.
He enlisted at Birmingham 24.6.16 Royal Flying Corps and transferred to Royal Air Force 1.4.18

it seems james boswell b. 1866 died 28 june 1925 at thimblemill lane.

he married sarah ann davies in 1884

his parents were thomas boswell b.1832 and louisa mann 1833-1914
 
Thanks to all. I knew a lot of the info already but some interesting bits I didn't know, especially the stuff on the electoral rolls. I am still looking for Louisa's married name to trace her death.

The reference gives only one man and another woman besides Louisa. The man's name is Ernest Watts, but it is by no means certain that he is the husband, you will need to order the certificate to be sure.

yes i checked this and i think ernest watts married the other woman on the list for that year. i tried to find the husband of louisa but there were far too many to go through. as di says, if you can i would send for the marriage cert.
 
I found this one too but as you say it's difficult to tell who married who! Guess I'll have to spend a bit of money! Thanks anyway.
