Bolton Road, Bordesley

Kah,

Bolton Road goes right round to the back of Arthur Street Bus Depot. My grandparents lived at 3 Back of 393 Bolton Rd. in 1911.

Ann
Dear Ann,
Funny your grandparents were at 393 Bolton Road in 1911. My Great, great grandparents ran the Carver Arms. I haven't been able to find any records of it (apart from a family photo) until now. It turns out they were renting 393 Bolton Road in 1911 and it is listed as the Carver Arms in Carver Street. Does this make any sense to you?40460_b0145998-00155.jpg

I lived at 393 Bolton Road before the houses were demolished in the early 1970's - while I lived there all the houses at the back had already been knocked down when I was living there and it was like a bombpeck area. If I remember correctly these houses were pulled down around 1974.

Hey Elizabeth, I popped something interesting in reply to Ann's post. It's amazing finding all these people from 393 Bolton Road. Do you have a photo?
