This was the HQ in Edmund Street just before WW2. The image shows BTS taking blood tests. Were they testing to check blood group types to ensure an sufficient supply or each blood group for the War?

I don't remember this place. I seem to remember going to Old Square to give blood in the building in the colour photo. This have been from 1970s-1980s.

Yes, I remember giving blood at the building in Old Square in the 70s, I worked at the Inland Revenue then and we were allowed to go in working hours which was an incentive!
