Im trying to trace information on my Great Grandmothers side of the family
her name was Julia Helen Blackwell born in 1879 in Leamington Spa (she was 22 in 1901 census)

If there is anyone tracing this line i would be very pleased to hear from you !

hello aston, i cant find the 1901 record you have mentioned. also there is a birth of julia helen blackwell but it is in 1872 in bedford??

Sorry shes down as Helen on the 1901 census. This lady has caused no end of problems to me as she seems to use different names on different documents. Julia Helen on her childrens birth certificates, yet on the 1901 census when ive just checked shes Helen, on another birth certificate shes Ellen !

Doesnt help the fact that her surnames apparantly been written down incorrectly on her 4th childs birth certificate, ive been searching the wrong name Broadhead for months and months !! Oh its all good fun isnt it

She married Frederick Green in June 2 1900 and on the wedding certificate shes Helen Julia Blackwell !!!!!

I just wondered if there was any descendants out there following the same line who may have some useful information to share.

If she was born in Leamington Prior, the reg district would be Warwick, if she was born over to the east, ie Leamington Hastings it would be Rugby. I've had a good look and the best i can find is --

Ellen Blackwell 1st qtr 1879 Warwick 6d 625

No Julia or Helen or combination anywhere, the only Julia i found was back in 1866 for Warwick

Hi there,just to throw another suggestion in, do you think that Helen or Ellen could also be known as Nellie?
If so,do you think this could be her in 1891?
Don't see where mother is,though.Living with father and aunt.

Hi again,I think this could be "Nellie's" parents with baby Frederick in 1881.
Father Arthur is a House Decorator in this census and a Painter in 1891.

Hi Guys,

sorry not been on in a while, i got no emails to say more posts to check out :-(

Anyway information i now have is

Father: Arthur Charles Blackwell (on helen julias marriage certificate to her husband Frederick Green) he was a painter/house decorater.
Mother was: Mary Ann (nee Thompson)

Arthurs parents were: Thomas Blackwell and Julia Blackwell

ive got loads of names for Helen Julia (Julia Helens) siblings but they will take some sorting out and yes i believe there is a frederick.

Its ironic on the family tree websites there are quite afew people tracing my maternal side of the family tree i just cant find any descendants anywhere tracing my fathers side aaaargh.
