Not sure if this sort of question is permitted on here, but thought I'd ask if anyone is able to identify what church the door in the below images belongs to (estimated to be taken mid-to-late 1930s)? I'm fairly confident it is somewhere in the Black Country/Birmingham. The smiling gentlemen in the background is my step-grampy and he grew up around Rowley Regis, but has family history in Oldbury and possibly other areas of the Birmingham area (from the North all the way down to Solihull). I've been Google-mapping churches that look Old English-ish in style starting in Rowley/Halesowen and then looking miles in each direction. I'm not sure whether I'm jumping to conclusions, but I'm wondering whether it's a building that has been demolished or renovated. My understanding is that only Darlaston All Saints was destroyed in the war (I can't find a clear image of the door) but I noted when looking at the history of Darlaston that a church called St George's (which was created in the Old English style) was taken down in the 70s - so am wondering if there are other churches that had a similar fate. I've found doors that are VERY similar, but never quite the same... it's frustrating me and I had a dream about it the other night, so thought I'd appeal for help here as people have been extremely helpful with my other posts here. Look forward to hearing any thoughts; thank you in advance for reading.
The only written clue is that the one of the couple was developed in Smethwick... but I can't find anything round that way either.
