Hi Wendy

Not sure if you can get back this far but whay I have for sure is:

Peter Fellows Married at St Martins 14/11/1780
so from that I am taking his birth as c1760

He is at the top of my tree and for 3 years have not found parents for him.

Is it possible you may have something that will help.

Derek

PS
Looked at IGI / Hugh Wallis and have found nothing there either.

Derek, have you got the marriage certificate or copy? age and parents will be on there.

Derek the records are very small and I have to enlarge and scroll through. Without an exact date it will take me a long time as the index is only on surname. I will have a look when I have time. He may not be recorded in St Martins as a lot of people came to Birmingham from outside villages to seek work and future wives.

Alf registration didn't start untill 1837. The records Derek needs are much earlier.

Thanks Wendy I knew that fool that I am, thats the 3rd Senior moment this year:D
How do I know that you ask because its the only thing I can remember.

Don't worry Alf we all do it. Now where was I :(oh I should be at work now:explode: see ya!

Tell them Alf kept you and if they want proof then tell to join the BHF:)

Thanks Wendy,
I have seen the marriage cert at B C Library and as you say the records are small and no parents listed.
I asked about St Martins as a lot / most of the family from that date forward stayed around the area. Long shot but worth it.
As I have said before I have checked IGI / Hugh Wallis sites and can find nothing, one day perhaps.

Thanks for your time.
Sorry for late reply, lucky to get away for two daus but back to it now.

Derek

I've done it again Derek while talking to Di only a couple of days ago she had to remind me of the 1837 rule again, drat:(

Hi Derek

I found a Peter Fellows birth in Whittington, Shropshire about 1769 but it was added to the LDS by an outsider so don't know how accurate it is.
