My Great Grandad was in the 3rd Birmingham Pals
Henry (Harry) Allen 17778
Born 27.11.1883 Saltley Birmingham
I know he was born and raised in Birmingham and fought in France
I am sure he was injured and was in Birmingham on 17/8/1918 because that is the dy he married.
I think he was transfered to RDC 53559 and went to Paull Point Battery in Hull.
Any information would be great.

hello Shannie

He may have served in the 3rd B'ham Bn (16th Royal Warwicks) OR... he may not have. His service number is not an original Birmingham Pals number. His Medal Index Card show that he was entitled to the Victory and War medal which means he did not enter a theatre of war until after 1 Jan 1916. Very sorry that I cannot give you more info than that.
