Birmingham Municipal Bank Six Ways Aston

This bank first opened at 22 High St in Dec 1919 and operated in the old shop premises which it had purchased for £775. It required extensive reconstruction work to be carried out, which was completed in 1923 when the formal opening was made on Feb 17th 1923. The adjoining premises at 24 High St were purchased in 1924 for £1800. The extended branch was completed in 1925. There were further interior alterations made in 1925 & 1929.
