Birmingham Hospital 1900 1920s

I have an ancestor, my G- Grandfather's sister, who was supposedly a 'nurse at a large hospital' in 1922. I know she lived in Birmingham in 1907. Can anyone tell me the names of large hospitals in Birmingham during these time periods and who I can contact to check staff hospital records? I live in Australia, so online inquiry is my only option. Thanking you in advance. Michelle.

Sorry, Lyn! This is the first time I have used the site. Her name was Harriet Grennie Francis, Francis being her stepfather's name. She was born 15-11-1885 in Ayr, Ayrshire, Scotland. Her registered name in Scotland was Harriet Grennie Roddick. Her mother on the birth certificate was recorded as Margaret Roddick, but this was an alias. Margaret was using her mother's maiden name. Harriet's brothers were born illegitimately to Henri (Henry) Grene. This surname was often misspelt. Harriet's middle is Grennie which I think is meant to be Grene. I think he is the father of her as well & Margaret wanted to acknowledge this. The siblings changed their surname to Francis after 1900, and I suspect Harriet did too. My reason for this belief is she is listed as next of kin of her brother's Soldier's Book in 1907 and as it doesn't record her surname as Grene or Roddick, I can only assume she was using the same surname as her brother- Francis. She is recorded as living in Leamington Spa. I found her on the 1901 Census aged 15/16 in Glasgow in a girl's reformatory after her mother dies and she is recorded as Harriet Greeney. My problem is I don't know what surname she was using later in life. Family story is she married a Professor & I am wondering if she met him through a hospital.
