Played very briefly for Birmingham City Officals which was based on Sedgemere Road in Yardley, I was just out of school and alot of school teachers from Sheldon Heath and Cockshot Hill played there so they used to bring the older school kids along to play in the colts. The clud house then was a sort of wooden cricket pavillion which had changing room, showers big bath and most importantly for a youngster like me then a bar! They had rugby, football, cricket women netball bowls teams, think they had a hockey team too so was quiet a busy club, Alas its all folded now the club house has been rebuilt and is now Sedgemere Sports and social club, the first team rugby pitch is now a power league site, which is an all weather sports site. I belive part of the land was bequeathed to Birmingham City Council and cannot be built on.
Just wondered if anyone else has memories of this club and its achievements. Mine are manily related to the social side of the club with the fun and games involved with discovering drink for the first time!
