Bick / Twittey Alice Beatrice

Hi all, im constantly hitting a brick wall with this one ! Looking for the whereabouts of my gt grandmother Alice Beatrice Bick formerly Twittey in 1922/23. Her address on my nans birth certificate for Sept 1923 gives Curzon Place, Lower Darwin Street yet when i checked the electoral rolls she wasnt listed as living there yet would of been old enough to vote as she was born in 1888. Any ideas or help on where i could locate her would be great thank you.

Re: Alice Beatrice Bick / Twittey

Hi,found her at 2 back of 6 Lower Darwin Street from 1927.
There was a Martha Keefe there prior to then.

Re: Alice Beatrice Bick / Twittey

Hi Linda
Thanks for posting, i had seen that but its more the years 22/23 that interests me as she should appear on the electoral roll somewhere but we don't know where to start, why would she put Lower Darwin St as my nans birthplace if she wasn't living there ?
Thanks for your help

Re: Alice Beatrice Bick / Twittey

Laraine, it could be that Alice went to her mother's home to have the baby, this was often the case with home births at the time.

Re: Alice Beatrice Bick / Twittey

Its possible i suppose Sylvia but its just a gut feeling among the family that she was living somewhere else, i think we did check the address of her parents for 22/23 & she wasnt listed as living there. Put it this way, she lied:sneakiness: on my nans birth certificate about who the father was so perhaps she did the same about where she was living ??
