Bick nee Briscoe Rose Elizabeth

I'm trying to find out what happened to my Father's sister Rose, who was born in 1900 and married George Thomas Bick in 1921.He died in 1928 and I think she may have died in 1946/7. As far as I can tell she had three or four sons. She seems to have drifted in and out of her birth family and her father is recorded as deceased on the marriage certificate although he lived until 1946.Any help or guidance in tracing this branch would be helpful. My Father's twin was able to give me a little help, but I'm well and truly stuck.
Regards
Barb

Re: Rose Elizabeth Bick nee Briscoe

There's a death registered for a Rose E Bick in the Sep qtr of 1947 Birmingham, aged is listed as 47.

And there a five Bick/Briscoe sons registered between 1921 and 1928 - William G Jun 1921 Kings Norton, Douglas T Sep 1922 Birmingham, Frederick J Jun 1924 Birmingham, Jeffrey A Mar 1926 Birmingham North and Edward D S Dec 1927 Birmingham N.

Re: Rose Elizabeth Bick nee Briscoe

The 1945 electoral roll lists a William G and Rose Bick at 153 Alexander Road Acocks Green. In 1950 William is at the same address. In 1955 William is listed with a Margaret Bick. (I can't look any further online). There is a marriage of William to Margaret Constable listed in 1948.
The 1950 and 1955 electoral rolls list a Frederick J Bick at 9 Circular Road, Sparkbrook with a Mona (presumably his wife). I can't find a marriage at the momnet.
In 1950 Jeffrey A is listed at 176 Tavistock Rad, Hall Green (two other people are listed so I assume he might have been a lodger).
In 1950 Edward is listed with William at 153 Alexander Road - there are 2 other names as well.

I have done a bit more digging and now think the Frederick I listed in the previous post is the wrong one. I think, sadly, that your Frederick died in 1925 as a baby.

I can find the following which may or may not be right:
William George died in Jan 1987 in Birmingham
Edward married Barbara Sturdy in Jan 1952 in Birmingham and died Dec 2004 in Carlisle
Douglas married Hilda Cutler in Oct 1942 in Birmingham
Jeffrey married Iris Boden in Oct 1947 in Birmingham and there is a death of a Jeffrey recorded in July 1999 in Birmingham.

Hope this helps.
Janice
