Hi Carolina,
I purchased the pic recently at a talk in St pauls cathedral on the history of St paul's Square done by an elederly gent of the congregation.
It is a very early drawing of St Phillips, Colmore Row, viewed from 'off the ridge' either new St, or where New St is now (unsure when New St was New compared to building of St Phillips).
It reminded me very much of the early pics of Ann St (later called Colmore Row) that were on the Forum showing how it looked before the Council House was built.
'Town' wasn't just a place to go shopping/eating in like now - It was Birmingham - where people lived and worked.
I wished I had picked up a few more now - must pop in some time and see if they have any odd ones for sale in the Church shop!
PS - Now you have let david Fowler know you won his 1st prize & Edcartermo admits to having his 2nd prize - be on your guard - and than he left early to go and see the Blues LOSE (What a suprise!)
Me thinks you are now in his 'little black book' !!!!! Don't tell him your name, Pike!
Brian
