I'm just trying to remember what is was Jim (Postie) was telling me (#90 second pic) that made me look so shocked - think it was that they'd run out of food:fatigue:
Thanks for posting the pics.... photos of me are always useful for keeping flies off the screen.

our first time today , really enjoyed it, and look forward to the next one, nice talking to people, I've already forgotten some of the names!!!! talking to Jim outside and he was trying to explain things, but I still can't put pictures on but will keep on trying. Nice pictures I will ask my grandaughter how to put names on.

Looks like another great meet-up. I wasnt able to make this one :fatigue:, hopefully next time. Lovely pictures :star:

Although I couldn't stay for all of it, I enjoyed the time. (Should have stayed instead of watching the Blues lose!)
BTW Lyn, when are you posting me my prize??:unconscious:

This was my first meet-up and it was, apart from being a most enjoyable social event, an opportunity to put a face to those many members whose postings I have

been entertained, intrigued and informed by. I was accompanied by my wife Maureen (the 'mo' in my user name) who rather indifferently agreed to come along as

she has no great interest in history - diggin' up of old bones as she describes it - so it is a testament to the warm welcome and the fun we had that she is now eagerly

looking forward to the next meeting. It is also a testament to the good nature and the friendliness of the members that my wife and I were not bodily ejected from the 'Jeweller's' after not

only winning one prize on the raffle but FIVE! Our embarressment allowed us to keep only one of these prizes however, and that was the splendid watercolour painting of the 'Jeweller's Arms'

painted and donated by Mr Eric Cook. The painting means such a lot to us as the Pub has many memories to our whole family going back thirty and more years to us all being employed in

the Quarter at one time or another. So, thanks to all, and especially to Postie and Astoness, for a memorable afternoon.

hi ed and mo it was delightful to meet up both and so pleased that although maybe not mos scene she enjoyed herself that much that she is looking forward to the next one...i promise that the raffle tickets well well shook up folks lol and thank you both for allowing us to re draw 3 of your winning tickets as you know mo gave me the box of choccies which i shall be enjoying tonight:encouragement:...erics paintings are much sort after by all of us as in the past he has done many commissons and also exhibited so i hope you have found a nice spot in your home for it and will enjoy looking at it thanks again eric for yet another spendid painting...as i have always said i need no thanks as its you the members who make these meet ups a great success..without you all there we would not have them..not being one to make speeches although i did think about it as we had them both together yesterday i would like to just finish up here by personally thanking both mikejee and phil for their great input into bhf..mike mainly for his maps and of course phil for the pics he posts..

so heres to the next one...

Please excuse my ignorance, but I won the little black and white drawing but am not sure exactly where it is. I know someone told me it was the cathedral, which I presume was St Philips, but its the little houses in front of it I need to know the address. Many thanks. Carol
