Just to clarify Barrie -

Outer Zone, Gun Quarter Zone and Jewellery Quarter Zone charging hours are 8am-6pm Monday to Saturday. The maximum parking time is 4 hours, except in the Jewellery Quarter, which has a mix of 2-hour and 4-hour maximum parking time bays.
  • Up to 1 hour - 70p
  • Up to 2 hours - £1.30
  • Up to 3 hours - £2.00
  • Up to 4 hours - £2.60

There is a car park on Vyse Street which isn't that far and it's a bit cheaper than the meters.

2 hours £1.10
3 hours £1.70
4 hours £2.20

If you park on meters, ensure you are not parking on meters attached to flats etc. Vyse Street car park is the best bet as it has security as well.

The meters on Augusta Street and Northampton Street at the Jewellers end are 4 hour ones, or were in the summer, we parked there, I don't like multi storeys and have to watch the height clearance lol - car is tall even if I'm not!!! Looks almost certain to be bus for us, so no guarantees what shape the cakes will be in, hope we get steady drivers. But don't worry Kelly and Vicky the tray bakes will be safe!!!
Sue

Barrie lets hope there are meters available. From what I am told the quarter isnt that busy, but it might suddenly be on next Saturday leading upto Xmas.

It's a great pity that I can't make it over:upset: due to work and other committments but hope you all have a lovely day on Saturday and above all lots of fun:smug:

Don't worry sue tell mom if its too much trouble it's ok till the next one but me and vicky will be really disappointed if she doesn't lol Kelly

The entrance to Warstone Lane Cemetery in Pitsford St should be open - parking is free to Cemetery visitors - and it's only a few moments walk away!

thanks everyone for the parking info plenty of choice there... i shall be overloaded and using the buses but just in case of any problems can i suggest bringing out the sleighs and parking on the roof of the jewellers arms...

Lyn, just been giving my sleigh a run out before Saturday! As you can see, I'm coming up Digbeth going towards St Martins.

Apologies for this, a little off thread but I thought I would share it with you all. Just replied to one of my Granddaughters Christmas list to Santa. At the end of her list she had written this entitled "Just for you Santa"

Crunch crunch crunch goes the fallen snow
Whoosh whoosh whoosh goes the windy blow
Children singing Christmas songs
Folks come in and sing along
Mothers say "hats scarves and gloves"
Fathers say " see you soon my loves"
Now safely tucked up in our beds
Dreams of Santa in our heads

Merry Christmas Santa love from Ellie xxx
