i dont think you are being a scrooge at all eric...its just a sign of the changing of time...christmas is so very different now to when i was a child..days when we would be overjoyed with one main present and a stocking with and apple and orange at the bottom and a few little stocking fillers.. but all the more reason to enjoy the meet up and at least keep up the tradition of folk having a good old get together...:encouragement:

Wow Lynn you must have been well off...... You got a new lap top and a new mobile phone every Xmas?

Have a great time everyone. I know for a fact that I can't make it now ( I can hear a big sigh of relief off everyone )
My place on the floor under the table in the corner by the window is going begging Lyn. Maybe you can raffle it :smug:

Astoness,
I have to work every other weekend. I'm trying to get somebody to swop with me so I can go. Please how much are the badges?
Ed

I'm hoping to make it to the meet; my son is emigrating to NZ at the beginning of that week and I've been trying to avoid looking beyond that! Think I might need cheering up that weekend!

Could you please make a badge up for me? Thanks :fat:

Just to put the record straight my son and family go to the US on the 10th Dec if all goes to plan. They are going for their visas on Friday. It is very hard for us at the moment as we have the children a lot, we are going to find Christmas very difficult. I understand what you and Les are going through, but feel the real heartbreak is the grandchildren. Still you can't stand in their way and it's their life. My son has been given a fantastic package with his job in Michigan their global headquarters. He is renting his house here so I live in hope. I hope I will be OK on the meet this is a terribly emotional time for me. Hope you can make it Les..xx Thanks for organizing it Lyn..xx

Must be really hard for both of you, Wendy and Leslam, but like you say have to support your children and just think of the holidays abroad :smug:
We will all be there to support you at the meet and at least you will have an excuse for being emotional when Lyn hides all the raffle prizes she has her eyes on lol!
Sue

hi wend sorry i got the dates mixed up...as sue has already said we will all be there to hopefully cheer up you and leslam..try not be late to get a seat..im bringing a deck chair now for out the back lol..

sue i think we are going to have some great prizes again and lots of them..promise not to hide moms cake under me table..

No problem Lyn I don't know how you keep up with everything. I think it will be a great diverson although I remember bringing my granddaughter to the Christmas meet where we nearly got snowed in...I will sort a raffle prize out something liquid I think and not shampoo....ha ha
