Hi, I was born at Marston Green hospital in 1962 and was adopted. I have recently found out that my birth mother was at Beechcroft. I am interested in finding out what it was like at the home for the birth mothers - were they forced to give up their babies? Were they treated well or not. I am currently applying for by adoption records but there is quite a waiting list so any information any one has would be appreciated. Many thanks.

Thread 'Beechcroft House 15 Belle Walk Moseley'

Hi, I wonder whether anyone out there has any memories or knowledge of Belle Walk, Moseley. I am most interested in the time around 1956 and in particular number 15, which I believe is no longer there. I am wondering whether it was a private house / rented house / bed and breakfast or something similar. The address was given on a birth certificate and I am trying to find out more. As it is quite recent I thought I better not give out any names. Many thanks.
