The wife and I went to Bedders last Friday for some fish and chips, the first time for years, I know there was a change of ownership, but you would'nt have realised it, still as good as ever, Has'nt changed at all. Well reccomended.

the beddows go back many generations and i lived eight doors away from them
and they moved out about four years now and an italian guy bought him out
as the father and mother split up the young son tryed to cling to the bussiness but in the end they sold out and my personal opinion without trying to insult any body or offend any memberits a case of personal taste but i found the case of beddows chipps are not the same quality as the beddows famiy used to serve with there onions they gave free with your portion of chips if you wanted them
the beddows are a world known chippie going back generation from father to father and father and grand son they used to display all the medals of reconision
and photo grapghs around there shop in the eating area they also appeared on a late night show in an interview on a well know american late night show many years ago i think it was in the seventys as i recall watching when we lived on the coventry rd in my eyes there is only one whom can match there chips and i have sais before is dads lane chippie they also have ajoing resturant which is packed out every evening along with the ques out side there shop every day and night
i know this family and they are connected to the big johns chippie around brum
but also to the frying pan which is on dudley rd just pass the hospital
i can recall dad opening the chippie in dads lane dog pool and it was an old shop
he altered it to a chip shop and worked hard for years to build it up and ten years later he had an extention to build the ajoing resturant wich is very smart and full six nights aweek beleive me or not i travel from worc to go there often ; i even said to dad afew years back he knew of the break up of the beddows and selling off and i told him he as taken over where beddows left off and still by that statement i stand i am by no means knocking any member okay you can say
its a personal choice of taste best wishes Astonian;
