Bartons Arms closes

The Bartons Arms pub in Birmingham has a complex ownership history. While Oakham Ales originally purchased the pub, it was later taken over by a consortium of Birmingham-based investors led by Angela Nelson. The pub has seen multiple closures and reopenings, with the most recent closure occurring in May 2025.

I understand that the Barton Arms is Grade 2 listed, so demolition/alteration would require consent from the local planning authority, given their recent track record, how soon will it be until it is converted into multi occupational flats or into something that the majority of the local residents, would prefer to see on the site, instead of a public house?
