Anyone researching the families of BARTLETT, CATTELL or CHILWELL from the Sheldon area from circa 1800 to 1920s.

Pointers? Well ignore the rumour that Mary Anne was murdered by her husband and haunts Sheldon Hall for a start.

Yes to the question. I am Stuart Cattell, tracing my family tree. Stuck at John Cattell & sarah Mortiboys.
Joined this site yesterday, still finding my feet.

I do not have a John CATTELL who married Sarah MORTIBOYS in my database. I have checked with another researcher and neither does she. What makes you think they are connected with the CATTELLs residing at Sheldon, WAR?

Having had a look on Ancestry there is a John CATTELL c.1750 who married Sarah (Ann) MORIBOYS on several trees. It seems to be the old story that everyone has copied from one another. As far as I know this is nothing to do with Sheldon.

Hi,

I was following the Isaac Cattell 1786 Preston Bagot & Ann Fisher 1796 Hampton in Arden line.
I have Joseph as one of their children along with John, Sarah, Isaac, Josiah, Thomas, William, Christopher and Joseph.
Have I gone wrong somewhere?
