Baker Eliza death 1882

master brummie
Hi everyone hope you are all well.

Any one know how the best way to find out if this is my Eliza Baker.

My Eliza was married to William on the death cert it states widow of William Baker but my William did not die till 1916 and he remarried to a Lucy Rhoda Payne.

Death cert for when annd where she died say's Wood End Home Erdington, and the informant looks like J Round brother-in-law and his address was Little Wood End Erdington.

Birmingham registry office phoned and said they had looked for other Eliza Baker's and none matched the only way i can see is by trying to find out who was living where the brother-in-law was and try and trace any marriages, my Eliza maiden name was Southam.

Anyone got any idea's please.

Re: Eliza Baker death 1882

Hello Paula, Joseph Round age 28. Gardener was living at Little Wood End, Aston in the Hamlet of Erdington on the 1881 Census. His wife was Mary A. Round age 30. Children Ada age 8 and Joseph 5. Mother in Law Mary E Baker age 76 Laundress. Also living with them is Charles Baker, age 14 and Joseph's Step son.
It seems you are on the right track, Eliza seems to be the sister in Law of Mary Round. so did your William have a sister called Mary A and mother Mary E Baker.

Re: Eliza Baker death 1882

Hi

Thanks again it does not say on the death cert her occupation but if that is her on the 1881 census then it is not my Eliza.

I think i will have to start trying to trace burial records to see where she might be as my Eliza was living in Aston before she died.

Your help is really appreciated thanks:D
