Built for Aston Manor Council in 1882, designed by William Henman. It was also the home of Aston Library and is locally listed as Grade A.

All four gables seem to have been remodelled, no longer dutch-style. Nice to see the weather vane has survived.

Happy memories of Dad taking my brother and me to this library in the late 1950s. He worked during the day and also took on bar work in the evenings when Mum stopped work to have us. He always read a bedtime story before he dashed off to work and always took us to the library on Saturday mornings.

Just livng a few doors down i spent a lot of time in there best was handing in my blue tickets for children s section and getting 4 beige tickets for grown up section the love of books never fades hence i have a large bookcase full off books
