For the benefit of our members who live far away here are 2 pictures as they are now,
The first one is where the Pelham used to be, its now a Lidl store, and the other is the new Yew Tree pub in Yardley.

Hamco I didn't think the Yew Tree was new I used in a lot in the mid 60s with a couple of Pals I met at Ten Pin Bowling, and was the Pelham Washwood Heath? or was I drunk at the time:D
 
Alf, the Yew Tree was rebuilt back in the 90's and there is a big store at the back of it now, sorry ,cannot think of the name.
Not sure what district the Pelham was in, but it was just a few yards from the Capital cinema. I always thought it was Alum Rock.
No I don't think you was drunk, perhaps like me suffering from oldtimers disease.:D

The store at the back of the yew tree is the co op there is also an indian resterant a boots the chemist and a KFC.
