Thank you for posting those great photos mhemery and thank you beamish for your repost which I believe went with posts #2, 3 and 6.
My Gt Gt grandparents, Albert and Mary Taylor lived at 4 Bk 48 Arthur Street in 1881 with their sons, Albert, Frank Frederick (my Gt Grandfather), Arthur and Abel.
Here is a map from 1937 showing Bordesley Park Road and its junction with Arthur Street, with The Prince Arthur on the corner marked PH, which sort of links with mhemery's photo.
