2 Arley Place - Tower Street - Where on the Street was this located? I am trying to locate some visuals of the area but unable to find where Arley Place was on Tower Street in 1911 ?? Any help or information would be appreciated.

Cannot find an Arley place in Tower st, only one in Balsall Heath and a recent one (1950s on) off St Martins St

The census records show this as Tower Street Sub district of St George Birmingham which I believe may have the church there St George's in the Fields? So was wondering if any early images exist? or even if this is the correct Tower Street?

There is only one Tower St in Birmingham. I have been through all the pages around Arley place and tried to coordinate them with maps, electoral rolls and directories but cannot work out where exactly Arley place was. It looks like there were some changes in the area before and shortly after this time.
Assuming that the enumerator followed the normal procedure and registered the houses in order down one side of the street, (which I am not completely convinced he did) then Arley palce was somewhere on the north side of the street, around the middle between summer row and hospital street. The map c1915 below shows that part, but we cannot be certain that the layout was exactly he same then. I consider the most likely candidate is just to the left of the recreation ground

At the time of the census this part was named Tower St. Earlier it had been Upper Tower St

i have moved this thread from help advise and tricks as we do have a section for streets

No 1 George ( 34) & Lily (32) Wheeler & family
No 2.William (38) & Emily (28) Haynes & family
No 3.Joseph(87) & Elizabeth (87) Johnson & family
No 4.Herbert (28) & Jane (27) Parsons & family
No 5 Thomas (52) & Alice (52) Harrison
But have just realised that in one place no 1 is also listed as back no 9. this would confirm that Arley place is, as I thought likely, the small court to the left of the recreation ground, as shown in red on the map. It is in fact a combination of the lower half of court 2 , part of which had been built on, and one house that had been in court 3
