Anyone still got a piano

mom used to play nans piano and dad played the mouth organ we loved a good sing song when we went there.
i had a cousin that had a organ in the front room it was built in there it was massive (wot a row it made) when he died a firm had to come and dismantle it to get it out
good job he lived in the country and had no neighbours

We had a upright piano when we were kids, dad played it occasionally 'by ear' mom took lessons but never really mastered it.
My friend here in the Forest learned to play when she was a child, got a music degree and played the church organ too, for many years, her dad bought her a baby grand when she got her degree although he was only a humble quarry worker.
She died last springtime and her baby grand piano is sitting idle waiting for a buyer when her estate is sold off.

My Mom could play the piano, she learnt when she was young, not sure if they had a piano in the house, I was actually born in my Nan's house but she moved to the countryside before I was 2 so I don't remember! If she did, she didn't take it to the cottage.

Later on, in the 80s I think, Mom and Dad bought an electric organ and Dad went for some lessons so they both uses to play.
I had a little go on it sometimes but I wouldn't have had the patience to learn properly!
