Where and when was this picture taken? There is a clue in the photograph and I think it is fairly easy but , then, I know the answer.

Its Coventry Rd at the junction of Charles Rd the day after Hurricane struck Small Heath.

I see the dare devil ladder climber has once again made it into the picture. Just looking at a ladder of that length gives me vertigo. Love these old photos.

I was 2yrs young when the photo was taken it did not change much in later years but traffic lights were put up at the Coventry Rd/Charles Rd crossing & there are still lights there now. Len.

Abbey Road, behind Lords cricket ground, London. The most famous zebra crossing in the world, I think - I used to pass it on one of the ways to Victoria when I drove the Motorway Expresses in the 70s and 80s.
