Whats it all about Alfie ??? lol.................. bit before my time I'm afraid I worked there 63/64 then went on to work at SU carbs Wood Lane Erdington. I lived in Cleeve House Bromford Lane at the time. Didnt really want to leave Amal had a nice bunch of peeps working there but it was usually a 45/60 minute trip into work every morning as opposed to falling out of bed and rolling down the hill hahahaha.

They were a lovely crowd and as youngster they looked after you, I came back for a week after National Service and only worked inside at Two places Tyburn Works (BCT) & East Kent Social Club (East Kent Buses) as a Steward after that.:)

I was taking on the phone yesterday to Petes brother Mervin who has asked if anyone out there remembers him from the Amal?. His name is Mervin Smith and was there for many years. Thanks. Jean.
