Re: Lily alsop

hi astonian, in 1891 lilly was aged two years living with her parents samuel allsopp b. 1859 birmingham. he was a traveller . mother was eliza b. 1860 in aston.
florrie 9, samuel 6, annie 4 and lilly 2. they were all living at 5 park lane, aston.

in 1901 the same family were living 102 vicarage rd. aston.

then in 1911 annie allsopp and lilly allsop were boarding at 5 court 2 house, clifton rd. aston . they were boarding with william henry and florence joyce and their 2 children.

lilly allsopp married george jelf in 1912.

there is a george and lily jelf living 121 bridge st. west in 1922 - 1925, then in 1927 they appear to be living 42 holland rd. aston.

hope this is of some help.

Re: Lily alsop

hi shera ;
many thanks for your valuable information on lily so she was a local girl in aston
thats great news so you say it was young george whom died in 1929 and not lily the reason i put it was lily because the person whom
sent me that pic was a grand daughter to arther jelf whom in terned got the pic from her mother whom was at one time married to arher jelf
and when he died she married a arther smith on the back of this picture was those two dates
and apparently this man was a wicked person ; i beleive the story he died i think ; still; i will not go down that street with that story ;
thanks gain shera for your help and for your aluable time ;
have a nice day best wishes astonian
