Allens Croft Road

proper brummie kid
I'm looking into the history of 17 Allens Croft Road, B14. I know the house is quite old but I've only found this house number in the 1950s+ electoral registers. Is there a chance the house, which is older than 1950s, was re-numbered at some point in time? How would I find this out? Does anyone have maps that show house numbers at all?

There are newspaper references to "Allens Croft Road, Kings Heath" in 1920. Can't find anything before that date. In 1920 a newspaper article describes Allens Croft Road as a 'newly laid out highway'.

Looking at the style of the existing houses on Streetview, I'd say they're inter-war houses, and so likely built c1920s.

Maybe someone can advise about possible renumbering.

Thank you both. That's so helpful. I managed to find (with some difficulty) a family living in the house in 1925. As yet, I've not found this address in the 1921 census. It could be perhaps that the homes were still being built on the road at that time.
