I have some news! Good & bad

1st the good news

My newly found cousin sent me a copy of the original marriage record for James Smart Allen & Mary Ann Butcherd.

& the bad news - It states he was a bachelor.

So back to the drawing board! sorry!

You could ask on here for someone to check the original for the marriage of your Mary Hands/James Smart.
 
Well, that's really interesting. Curiouser and curiouser ! Much appreciate your interest and all your efforts. Have just enlisted the help of someone I think can push the search on more effectively than I've managed to date. If and when I get a definitive answer I'll post again. Many thanks again. :):)
