Right where to start ?I'm trying to find the where abouts of a lady Margaret Matilda nee: Wadlow trying to piece together where she lived and when. I'll try and give as much info that i know
Margaret Matilda Wadlow born 1870 father Edward charles wadlow mother margaret jones i thinkshe was born in aston.
she married 1888 a james Alexander I think they married in aston would anyone be able to get the details of a marriage or are the recrds only from the birmingham libary?
they had a daughter violet matilda Alexander born 1897 when she was born address was in 89trevor st birmingham. would we be able to find out who lived there
Then things get a little strange I didn't know about the above marriage or violet. As the
Margaret matilda Alexander is the same person as Margaret Matilda Francis. so sometime between 1897 and 1903 she was no longer with james Alexander but with george frederick francis?
22 july 1903 she had a son named george frederick Francis her name on birth cert as francis formerly wadlow
the fathers name was george richard francis the address on the birth cert was Horton st leek staffordshire. but no sign of them on census so lose them until 1925ish they appear on electrol roll 42 sheep street birmingham with other family members ,then some of the family split some go to wychbold avenue (May Baker nee francis & husband frederick baker) and then margaret matilda lives with other daughter edith white Nee Francis with her husband edward white at burney lane stechford where she dies aged 86 yrs old 1956 but in the later yrs she reverted back to her married name of alexander (I think that she didn't marry george richard francis as can't find marriage but took his name
so all family members named francis so no stigma of children out of wedlock?)I'm trying to find what happen to margaret matilda Alexander (Francis) from 1888 after her marriage to james and 1925ish when she had had more son's and daughters. as they just seem to disappear.
It all sounds so confusing hope people can make sense of it all as there are times when just can't get my head round it all. any help would be great.
