There was already a thread about Alex and his pies.... So I've merged them.
Also I think you will find the pic' everyone is talking about in the earlier posts, is the same one as has now been posted by pmc1947.

Could I also please reiterate, that folk please check by using a 'Keyword' in the search box above (on the top of the page) I used 'Alex', before starting a new thread that one on the subject is not already there.
Feel free to add to any existing thread non the subject no matter how old it is, as this helps to save very valuable space and helps folk who have already posted on the subject not to cover again ground they have already commented on.

We really do enjoy reading all your memories so pleas keep them coming.

alex biker hangout

I find postie's piccy unusual as there isn't a single Triumph Bonneville, BSA Road Rocket, Royal Enfield Constellation, or Norton Dominator in sight. As I remember it, Alex's was always a hang out for the rockers/bikers.

Quite an interesting piece here about Alex’s and a very good picture of his van in Hurst St. Its a very interesting site if you are in to the 60's pop scene in Birmingham. Just click on the link and then click on Alex's pie stand on the menu.
