Adelaide Street Deritend

Roboz_8

proper brummie kid
My 2nd great grand parents Joseph Edmonds and spouse Sarah Clarke lived in back to back house 11 Court 7 Adelaide Street, Deritend for 30 years according to censuses 1871 to 1901. They worked in the brass industry. Does anyone have pictures of Adelaide Street before it was bulldozed?IMG_0641.jpegIMG_0642.jpeg

looks like 2 small children sitting on the pub steps something we often see in old photos but can you imagine it being acceptable today....living opposite a pub mom and dad never allowed us to stand outside..we always had to go into the back garden for pop and crisps or stand in the passageway..
