A baptism look up please

Hi

Could someone look up for me the details - if any of the baptism of my 2x great grandfather Robert Lawley who I believe was baptised on the 18th August 1806.

Thanks

Following is the relevant entry for August 1806
"18 Robert, son of George and Martha Lawley. Born 14 April last"

This matches the information on IGI.

ive found another later baptism for this couple when there was a bit more info recorded

joseph son of george and martha lawley born 14th nov 1813 bap. 26th dec 1814 at st. martins. abode. pritchett st. fathers occ. cordwainer

and another which isnt very clear. ???? son of george and martha lawley bap. 30 dec 1816. brearley st. cordwainer

and william son of george and martha lawley born 4th feb 1820 bap. 13th march 1820 brearley st. cordwainer

Thanks very much - and for the very quick reply. Its good to know the info on the IGI is correct, as i have no way of looking from over here.
Do you know if there is anyway I can get a copy of the actual record?

Also thanks Shera - I had no info on Roberts brothers and sisters or where he lived so this info is just fabulous. I did know George was a cordwainer, but had to look up what that was originally!!

HI again
I've also got down a first born for George and Martha details as below from IGI.

Does it say anything else on the baptism record?

I know where the Cooper comes from as its Marthas maiden name but know nothing about the Evans bit?

22. GEORGE EVANS COOPER LAWLEY - International Genealogical Index / BI
Gender: Male Birth: 27 MAR 1804

Christened 22 Oct 1804

Thanks in advance again.

Hi
Thanks again for the prompt reply - can I just check that it does actually give the name as George Evans Cooper Lawley? - not just George Lawley?

Thanks

on the actual record of the 1804 baptism it says

22 oct 1804

george-evans-cooper son of george and martha lawley born 27th march last.

i notice that george and martha were not married at this time hence the babys name is cooper not lawley. maybe the evans was marthas moms maiden name?

i have sent you a private message

found one more baptism for this couple

abraham cooper son of george and martha lawley born 21st oct 1808 bap. 6 nov 1809

Hi Shera

According to the IGI there are two births registered to George and Martha for a son called Joseph - the one in 1813 you found and the one in 1816 that the name was hard to read. I wondered if the first had died and they named the next son the same name, which I believe was quite common in those days. Do you have access to any burial records for the church for this period?
Finally on the IGI there is also a daughter to George and Martha, also called Martha - born 29th August 1811 and baptised 6th Jan 1812. Can you check if this is correct for me?

Many thanks once again

i believe you are correct about joseph. i did think it could be joseph on the second record but wasnt sure. i have looked through the burials page by page and no sign of an entry for joseph lawley. having said that, there are many pages which are missing, they could have been lost or are illegible so its probably one of those.
the baptism of martha is correct - i will do the same as previous baptisms. all the best.
