80 Freeth Street 1911, the smith family

I'm looking for information on a family including Alfred Smith (father), Charlotte Smith (mother) Alfred Sidney smith (son born 1899) and Florence smith (daughter born 1910)

Welcome to the forum. What exactly do you want to know? I assume you have them on 1911 census so are you looking for earlier or later info? Sorry for the questions but the more you tell us then the easier it is for us to try to track info.

Charlotte and Alfred Sidney appear to be mistakenly listed as Osborne (Charlotte's maiden name) on the 1901 census, living with Charlotte's parents on Granville St.

Was Alfred (father) still living on Freeth St in 1939 with (2nd or 3rd?) wife, Hannah?

Sorry for taking so long to reply to this thread. I’m not on here very often and still trying to get the hang of it! What I would really like is any information on Florence Smith (married name Broadhurst). She is my grandmother and was killed in an air raid in 1940. My mum was only 5 at the time so knows nothing about her or doesn’t even have a picture. I would love to be able to learn something about Florence but I’m not having much luck. I know she was buried at Yardley cemetery with other civilians killed around that time.
many thanks …. Gill

What are you looking to find out? She's on the censuses and the 1939 register, and will probably be on the ERs. Not much info given on them though

There might be school records, if you know where she went but they may not be open.

For a photo your best best would be a wedding photo of one of her siblings, if they exist.

My mum lost all contact with her maternal
Family after her mums death. I guess I’m after anyone who maybe be a relative or have any sort of photos of the family

hi gill i cant help you with a photograph i think this is this your grandmother...if so and in case you and your mom do not know and would like to visit she has not been forgotten..her name is on the tree of life memorial in the city centre which lists all those civilians who died in ww2...i think there are over 2000 names on it..there are 4 panels around it inscribed with names..your nans is on the front facing panel...below is a photo of the memorial and a close up of your nans names name...hope this helps

Thank you the pictures. Yes this is definitely her. I have seen pics of this memorial before but not as good as this one. Unfortunately my mum is now 88 and has dementia so there is no chance of getting up to Birmingham now. I would just so love to find a picture of her for my mum to see.
Thank you for all the information
Gill
