7th Dragoon Guards.

Good afternoon can any one elp me with this one.
My gradfather was in the 7th Dragoon Guards.
I am trying to find out where they were in the war. As I would love to go and see it. I believe he was at the somme but thats all I know.
His name was Albert Chapman but I believe he signed up as Bert.
If any one has an information or can tell me where I can get the info,

As you'll see for most of the war they were under command of 2nd Indian Cavalry Division. This did indeed see action on the Somme in 1916, but also Arras (April) and Cambrai (November) in 1917, then Somme again (March 1918).

The 7th Dragoon Guards war diary is held at the National Archives at Kew. It would be well worth a trip.
