I hope to find information, especially photographs, about a Garage business, run around 50 years ago, by a rally driver, Mr Toney Cox, at this address

link below to todays st view..choice on the right is no 587 so i would think the garage at no 581 would have been where johnsons timber is now..

I think that's the wrong way Lyn.
Johnson is 591 to 603. The garage must have been where the gap is next to Choice.

Here's a photo of the garage at 581 Warwick Road, Tyseley dated 1952 .... next to the Working Men's Club. It may be earlier than David is looking for?

I worked for Toney Cox at Warwick Road Service Station form 1973 -1983 starting off as a driver then working in the parts department when we moved down the Warwick Road to a much bigger building around 1976 . The showroom was at Stratford Road where Moskvich then Lada cars were sold along with Lotus cars. Looking back now I worked with many great people , I dont have any photos but many memories if I can help the OP in any way
